Yin Yoga & Anatomy Teacher Training (50 hour, level 1)
Based on the teachings of Paul Grilley

Enrich, enhance and deepen your knowledge and Yin practice with the Yin Yoga & Anatomy Immersion Level 1 at Delight Yoga  in Amsterdam.

This intensive 50 hour Yin Yoga & Anatomy Immersion enriches your Yin practice, prepares you to teach basic Yin Yoga classes, increases existing knowledge of anatomy or is a rich addition to previously acquired anatomical knowledge in the Fundamentals of Yin Yoga & Anatomy, Anatomy for Yoga workshops and /or Yoga Teacher Trainings.

During this Immersion, you will study intensively the basic anatomy and physiology of the human body and you’ll learn how to apply this practical knowledge to the 20 most common Yin Yoga asanas. You will gain insight into your own body and that of others, by analyzing the possibilities and limitations of each joint’s range of movement. Furthermore you will study the muscles of the torso, hips and legs, connective tissues, fundamental bones & joints of the body and the definitions of movements. You will also deepen your awareness of the importance, functions and effects of each Yin Yoga pose. Having this knowledge as a base, you are able to practice, teach and adjust each Yin pose in a personalized, therapeutic and creative manner to meet either your own or your students different physical capabilities. Additionally you’ll discover the difference between a Yin & Yang (Ashtanga/Vinyasa) practice and how to create a healthy and balanced practice. Lastly you’ll explore the basic principles of Taoism and Chinese Medicine (Yin-Yang and Five Element theory) and increase your self-knowledge with coaching and Dharma teachings .

The Yin Yoga & Anatomy Immersion is a good basis for practicing and teaching Yin Yoga and is very complementary to all Yoga styles or meditation techniques . The training is suited for all students who have at least practiced Yin Yoga for six months and want to deepen their practice. It is also an In Depth Study for students participating in the Delight Yoga Teacher Training. Additionally it’s open to those who want to expand their professional skills as a yoga teacher.

Yin Yoga
is a deep meditative practice consisting of mainly floor poses in which you stimulate, restore and expand the original range of movement of the connective tissues.
