The Yin-Yang class starts with a basic dynamic sequences (Vinyasa) to generate heat and get energy that is stuck in our system to flow again. This 'yang' practice gives us a good cardio vascular and muscular work out, but is also the perfect preparation for the 'Yin' part of class.

In the more 'passive' Yin practice we let go of the 'doing' and sink deeply into various floor poses. On a physical level it allows us to work deeper into joints and fascia, releasing deep tension and toxins that get stored in the body over time. But the more meditative nature of the Yin practice also allows us to observe and process mental and emotional tension we may have been holding onto during the day.
