When slowing down isn’t as easy as it sounds
Do you sometimes feel like you’re always ‘on’? Your mind keeps going, you’re already thinking about what comes next, and even when you finally have time to rest, your body and mind doesn’t always seem to get the message.
In three 90-minute live online classes, we’ll explore different sides of being ‘always on’. Creating more space in your mind, coming back to where you actually are, and allowing your whole system to settle.

A Head Full of Noise
Sometimes it feels like there is simply no space left in your head.
Thoughts, plans, worries and conversations keep asking for your attention.
In this meditative Yin class, we explore what happens when you don’t have to follow every thought that appears. Can there be noise in your mind without getting completely caught up in it? And what becomes possible when your attention begins to open and there is a little more space?
We’ll practice Nadi Shodhana pranayama, use acupressure with balls to support relaxation and release, and stimulate Chi flow along the Kidney, Urinary Bladder, Stomach and Spleen meridian pathways through Yin poses focusing on the front and back of the body. Together, these practices invite you to settle, digest your experiences and bring your attention back from everything happening around you to yourself.
Required props:
2 blocks, belt, 4 tennis balls, 2 socks, blanket, bolster and pillow.

Always One Step Ahead
How often are you already thinking about what comes next while you’re still in the middle of what is happening now?
In this gentle Yang-Yin class, we explore our tendency to live one step ahead — or to stay caught in what has already happened. What changes when you don’t need to be somewhere else for a moment, and can simply be where you are?
We’ll practice Ujjayi pranayama and use the breath as an anchor as we move from gentle, mindful Yang into stillness. Through poses focusing on the chest, upper body and back body, we’ll stimulate Chi flow along the Lung, Large Intestine, Kidney and Urinary Bladder meridian pathways. Moving slowly and consciously from one pose into the next invites you to notice when your attention moves ahead — and to keep returning to your breath, your body and the experience of this moment.
Required props:
2 blocks, belt, 4 tennis balls, 2 socks, blanket, bolster and pillow.

When Your Body Won’t Switch Off
You may have stopped doing things, but that doesn’t necessarily mean your body has stopped too. Sometimes we’re resting while somewhere inside we’re still holding on, staying alert or waiting for the next thing to happen.
In this slow, deeply calming Yin class, we explore what it feels like to allow your body to settle — without trying to make yourself relax. What happens when there is nothing to fix, achieve or prepare for, and you can simply allow yourself to soften?
We’ll use gentle somatic movement, extended-exhale breathing and acupressure with balls to support relaxation and release, before gradually moving into longer, more supported Yin poses and stillness. With a focus on the front and back of the body, twists and the Kidney and Urinary Bladder meridian pathways, the practice gradually becomes quieter and more meditative — inviting you to turn inward, settle and experience the deeper, quieter quality of the Water element.
Required props:
2 blocks, belt, 4 tennis balls, 2 socks, blanket, bolster and pillow.
