For the times your body and breath ask for extra care. These four Yin Yoga classes are designed to strengthen your immune system and expand your lung capacity, combining Yin poses with acupressure, Qigong-inspired movements, Yoga Nidra and mindful breathing. Through functional use of props, meridian & Chi stimulation, and deep relaxation, you’ll release tension, support your organs, and create more freedom in breath and energy flow.


Each class has its own focus, yet together they give you tools to strengthen your immune system, expand lung capacity, release physical and emotional tension, and support your resilience through the seasons.

 

✨ Class 1 – Open heart, open mind (20 Jan 2023) – 90 minutes

You begin with meditation to drop into your heart space, followed by chest and heart openers that releases any Chi stagnation in the Lung and Heart meridians. Using tennis balls, you’ll release shoulder and neck tension, working into acupuncture points of the Small & Large Intestine and Gallbladder meridians to help you let go of responsibility and stress. The practice closes with a deeply restorative Yoga Nidra.

Required Props: Mat, 4 tennis balls, 2 socks, belt, blanket, pillow or bolster, 2 blocks.

 

✨ Class 2 – Boost your immunity, breathe easy & fight flu (27 Oct 2023) – 90 minutes

This class supports you when you have the flu, a cough, a clogged-up nose, a heavy head, or no energy. Through Yin poses, Qigong movements, and acupressure with balls, you’ll relieve flu-like symptoms, ease sinus congestion, open the lungs, and release tension in the head, chest, throat, neck, shoulders and upper back. Perfect for recovery, prevention, or simply an act of deep self-care.

 

Required Props: Blanket, pillow, 2 blocks, belt, 4 tennis balls, 2 sports socks, mat.

 

✨ Class 3 – Back & shoulders (12 Mar 2021) – 75 minutes

A nourishing class focussing on your back and shoulders. You will apply Acupressure with balls to release stiffness, and Yin poses combined with pranayama to open your heart and ribcage and to enhance a full free breath. A practice to feel lighter, freer, and supported in both posture and presence.

 

Required Props: 2 socks, 4 tennis balls, 2 blocks, belt, blanket, pillow or bolster, mat.

✨ Class 4 – Boost your immunity (22 Oct 2021) – 75 minutes

A class that supports and enhances your respiratory system and digestive health. Through deep breathwork, Yin & Yang poses, you will stimulate your spine, belly and organs and create space in the shoulders, chest and throat. In doing so you start to release protective layers, let go of what you no longer need and invite transformation. Acupressure with tennis balls and blocks will help to reach deep into the fascia of the upper back, offering both physical and emotional release.

 

Required Props: Mat, 4 tennis balls, 2 blocks, belt, blanket, pillow or bolster.
